Lasting Impressions

Salone del Mobile 2025

In April, the design world came together in Milan — a city known for creativity, new ideas, and bold design. Trentini specialists were there to see it all up close.

Rather than naming the best, we’ve gathered the moments and brands from Salone del Mobile 2025 that made a strong impression and stood out during our visit.

Cassina

Cassina completely enchanted me this year. It’s a new brand in our portfolio, and since I hadn’t explored it closely before, the impression was even more powerful.
The collection felt bold, rich, and full of character. I was especially drawn to their spotlight on design legends — the Eames couple, Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand.

Lighting, tables, chairs, consoles — iconic pieces experiencing a true renaissance.
As a lover of design history and timeless icons, it was pure joy for me!

Edra

Edra didn’t present new products this year, but surprised with exceptional textiles – true art. Co-owner and textile artist Monica Mazzei creates materials that captivate. While last year’s inspiration came from minerals, this year it’s all about nature’s wonders: sunrise, marble, and the northern lights. The result? Magic in the form of fabric.

Molteni

Molteni’s new showroom at Via Alessandro Manzoni 9 is a perfect example of how space and light can change everything – after this experience, it’s hard to see the brand any other way. The creative direction by Vincent Van Duysen is outstanding this year – every new piece is a must. The entire collection is a tribute to Milan and was also exhibited in the museum opposite the showroom.

The finishes and built-in furniture are especially worth noting – everything from doors to glass systems is produced by Molteni. I’m eagerly looking forward to the first Trenini projects in collaboration with the Molteni Contract team.

Patricia Urquiola

After this trip, I’m fully convinced — Patricia is a genius. Her designs are truly unique, with bold forms and unexpected colours. I finally saw her Dudet chair for Cassina — stunning and incredibly comfortable. I also fell in love with the Sestierevases. Her Tufty sofa celebrates 20 years, and the Husk chair remains one of the comfiest in the world. This year, together with Elle Decor, she created the Alchemica installation — one of the most inspiring spots of the fair.

CC - Tapis

CC-Tapis is one of my favorite brands. They constantly push creative boundaries, collaborating with designers of their choice to deliver fresh, unexpected pieces. Last year, they even introduced a more affordable collection. Who says rugs belong only on the floor? CC-Tapis creates true art — pieces that deserve to be on walls. I believe they’re bringing that idea back.

Their showrooms are just as inspiring: raw concrete, innovative tech, interactive experiences. What looks like a white screen reveals video through special filters — design that surprises and engages. That’s why I dream of having a CC-Tapis rug at home — a statement of bold, forward-thinking design.

Arclinea

In Italy, Arclinea represents more than just a kitchen – it stands for family, home, and the very essence of Italian culture. After all, who knows better than the Italians what a kitchen should be?

This year, Arclinea celebrates its 100th anniversary – a true milestone. To mark the occasion, the brand collaborated with photographer Amélie Ambroise to create 100 unique photographs featuring Italian dishes and ingredients – capturing time, culture, aesthetics, and creativity. These photographs are available for purchase, with all proceeds being donated to a culinary institute.

Molteni

Molteni & C is a brand that is close to my heart and easily understood. I especially appreciate how historical references are held in high regard, with the Heritage Collection serving as a testament to this. The brand excels in research and innovation, with outstanding quality and craftsmanship. It combines respect for the past with a clear vision for the future.

I take great pride in Molteni’s new home in the heart of Milan. Vincent Van Duysen has created the perfect scenography for this space in an elegant setting, establishing an exceptional relationship between the historic architecture and the dynamic modern interior.

Molteni Novelties

Aria

The Aria desk combines lightness, elegance, and functionality, seamlessly fitting into any space. Its refined silhouette and attention to detail embody modern aesthetics while offering a practical and functional workspace.

Monk - Heritage Collection

Monk, a 1973 design by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Molteni&C, returns in 2025 with this exclusive re-edition, part of the Heritage Collection. The name “Monk” reflects the almost monastic simplicity of the style, while also starting with the letter “M,” as Afra and Tobia Scarpa often did with the designs they created for Molteni&C.

Vibia

A new approach — Shaping Atmospheres. A fresh concept in lighting design that adapts to how a space is used throughout the day, creating distinct moods and experiences. Sleek, clean lines and shapes with a high-tech aesthetic — that effortless  feeling when nothing more needs to be added or removed.

The new outdoor collection was a standout: on-trend colors, lightness, and airiness, all while remaining fully functional. Just in time for the summer season. And of course, my favorite — the Array lamp, now reimagined in a striking new design.

Cassina

One of the most iconic Italian furniture brands, known for bold design and a seamless blend of innovation and tradition. The brand collaborates with world-renowned designers like Patricia Urquiola, Philippe Starck, and recently – Karakter.
A true standout is the 925 Scarpa lounge chair – elegant, with a solid wood frame and leather seat that give it a strong character and make it instantly recognizable.
